yahoo [dot] com KHALID ABDULLA ALHAMMADI received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from United Arab Emirates University (Alain, UAE) in 1992. In 1998, he received his Master of Science degree with honors in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Vanderbilt University (Tennessee, USA). Upon earning his Master degree, Khalid joined Ph.D. program at North Carolina State University (Raleigh, USA) from a scholarship provided by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). His Ph.D. research is focused on free space optical robotic communications. Upon submission of this dissertation, which was successfully defended in September 2006, Khalid will return to his home country, UAE, to join the faculty in the electrical and computer engineering department of Petroleum Institute (PI) as an assistant professor.
Interested in control algorithms using embedded system to develop optical communication system for mobile robot navigations.
